Mt. Alton Railroad Depot
Although a photo cannot be found of the Big Shanty Depot, I do have two to share; one of Mt.Alton’s Depot that was similar to the Big Shanty depot and one of the Lewis Run Station. The Lewis Run was a larger station along the stops from Carrollton, NY, to Buttsville, PA. The stations along the Erie were at Carrollton, NY, Limestone, NY, State Line, Tarport (Kendall Creek), Bradford (Littleton), DeGolier, Lewis Run, Crawford’s, Summit (Lafayette), Mt.Alton (Alton), Bond Vein (Gilesville), and Buttsville.
