You may note on the Henderson shortcut trail map that the stream, TV Brook, named after my co-researcher Tim Vecellio, is in the process of being named Orange Creek by the GNIS, a government agency that names places for the USGS Maps. I have also submitted the location of the 1864 Arch Bridge, which they have accepted with a new name in their data base of “Arch Bridge.”

This photo is of Orange Creek running into the western fork of the East Branch of the Tuneangwant Creek. It is a short walk down along the Orange Creek, about 250 feet. Note the railroad tie that has been washed downstream. This is a beautiful forest area in Big Shanty. The spelling of the Tuneangwant was taken from an 1856 map.
