Unless you have taken time out to enjoy the beautiful forest and wildlife of Big Shanty, this walk will take you about 35 minutes (about 1.3 miles.) You will come across what is known by the locals as "the Henderson Road shortcut." This shortcut is not for the weak because it’s all uphill on the way back. It’s a wonderful nature hike, viewing large sandstone rocks and an occasional oil field relic from the oil production days that started around the 1870's.

Just about 100 feet beyond the shortcut, you will come to The 1864 Stone Arch Culvert Railroad Bridge. It is marked by a white lace ribbon with "1864 Arch" written on it. Oh yea, there's also a beer can  hanging from a green ribbon! Just past the 1864 Arch Bridge, on the right side, is a path down to Orange Creek and the Keystone side of the arch bridge. The photo below was taken from the railroad grade.
