Charles Humphrey and Carlton Clark, employees of Bradford Supply Company,
started Clark & Humphrey in the lobby of the Hooker Fulton Building in about 1930,
selling one radio at a time.

By 1933 they were established at 35 Mechanic Street. By the flood of 1947 they had
moved a door down to 39 Mechanic Street and then expanded.

When Charles Humphrey died in 1958, his share was purchased by his brother Glenn
          and Carlton’s brother Don.
